GMB fitness doesn't have an option to cancel membership
oldbasket8630Oct 29, 1:42 PM
I really don’t like when companies don’t offer a simple, straightforward way to cancel a membership. It immediately makes me question their credibility and whether they’re intentionally trying to trap customers. I sent them an email asking to cancel and it’s already been over a full day with no response, which feels unprofessional. On top of that, I’m paying $45 every month for this membership, which feels expensive compared to the actual content they provide. For the price, I expected better service, easier cancellation, and more value, but instead I just feel frustrated and disappointed.

Are you talking about GMB.io? Isn’t all their programs one time purchases?
oldbasket8630_2·Oct 30, 5:54 AM
yes GMB.io. They have full access with monthly payment

GMB has awesome customer service. It's a Sunday, calm down.

Sure I can calm down. My question is if a company build an app with all videos and enroll a membership, why don't they put a simple cancel button in their website? Is that too tedious

Oh ok, I didn’t know they did that. I bought Elements and wasn’t overly impressed by the amount of content control in the program

I guess this is what happens when we have short staff on a holiday weekend. Your receipt \*should have\* included those instructions, because there is a straightforward way to cancel. I've resent that to your email, which is the professional response. I'm here making a personal response because you're blasting us in a community I used to active in. Obviously, I won't share any personal details here. However, I really wish you'd tried or at least looked at more of the actual content provided - or maybe replied to our emails for guidance - before deciding it's a poor value. The typical feedback we get is that there's so MUCH content that it's overwhelming, so we're happy to walk you through it. It feels kinda weird to see you reviewing our service negatively after zero interactions. If you think the programs are terrible, that's an opinion I'm completely fine with. Nothing is a good fit for everyone. It would be comforting to think that evaluation was based on more actual usage of the

We're experimenting with a monthly subscription option for the All-In membership, which includes every program (over 15 of them) and community/coaching access. My hunch was that we were able to provide better onboarding with it as an annual subscription only, and well... this seems like evidence in favor of that notion. Personally, I do prefer the lifetime access model, but after thousands and thousands of requests, we decided to try offering a subscription as well. We'll see if it lasts :) Oh, and shoot me an email with more about what you're looking for in terms of "content control." We're definitely anti- "customization" in program, because it's frankly not your job to know what you need, but I'm always working on the programming and usability, so any feedback is very welcome.

Because we recently changed payment processors, and some people have made purchases using more than one. For the subscription, we DO include simple cancelation instructions in the receipt emails though... it's just that people tend to forget about that after the fact.
